We highly recommend this type of sponge filter because
1) the water does not bypass the sponge, unlike the other type that shrinks causing the water to bypass the sponge. 2) the
inner core does not break, unlike the other type that has two pieces of inner cores that break easily. 3) When used in a breeding
tank, newly hatched discus fry tend to see and attach to parents’ bodies better because of the filter’s lighter
color design. 4) Ease of cleaning. Simply siphon the debris out of sponge with a siphon cleaner without removing the sponge
filter.
